The collaboration between Palazzina Grassi and ACP-Palazzo Franchetti allows our Guests to visit the splendid palace overlooking the Grand Canal near the Accademia Bridge, one of the most prestigious examples of Gothic architecture in Venice, and its art exhibitions.
Your guide will meet you at the hotel reception and will accompany you to Palazzo Franchetti where you will visit the permanent collection with art works by the great 20th century masters (Magritte, De Chirico, Franz Kline, etc.) and above all the prestigious exhibition “Massimo Campigli and the Etruscans ".
The famous painter describes the visit to the Etruscan Museum of Villa Giulia in Rome in 1928 as follows: “… In my paintings a pagan happiness entered both in the spirit of the subjects and in the spirit of the work which became more free and lyrical”. And it is from these words that the exhibition takes shape, proposing a metaphorical dialogue between the works of the master and the examples of the past from which he drew such strong inspiration. The works of Campigli, selected for the exhibition, stand alongside the finds of the Etruscan civilization, many of which are unpublished and exhibited here for the first time.
Eventually, you will receive a special gift from ACP-Palazzo Franchetti.
Do not miss this opportunity to discover an amazing but less known place in Venice just a few steps from your hotel.
